RH Bill - Right to Be Educated

" Being pro-life is right but always consider the situation. We are given free-will to think and make the right decisions for our loved ones. "

I saw this article in google while reading the news. What attracts my attention are this points raised about the current situation regarding population.

Quoted from the link above :
“The RH Bill is wrong because it assumes that the Philippines is overpopulated.”
I agree. I, myself, have observed that the Philippine is NOT overpopulated. In fact, if you use your common sense and think about it, you will realize a few things:
1. We are not overpopulated! Look at the mountains, the jungles, the caves and the ocean floor. There are no people there!
2. If we were really overpopulated, we would have trouble travelling. But if you go to EDSA, there’s no traffic. When you ride the MRT, it’s not packed with people.
3. Students in public schools are well educated because the teacher to student ratio is very low. In fact, because of our low population the government can basically guarantee that all public school students are provided books, notebooks and other school supplies.

I respect your opinion.

2. Kelan mo masasabing packed with people and isang cabin ng MRT? Have you ever tried riding the MRT or LRT during rush hours? Have you ever experienced being on the line for more than an hour para lang makasakay? I bet you haven't. At EDSA, walang traffic?

3. Have you studied in a public school? Ako Oo, nagkataon lang siguro na exclusive yung napasukan ko cause you need to pass before being admitted but it doesn't mean na hindi ko naranasan to. Well educated I would say, kasi magagaling yung karamihan sa teachers na Pinoy I would say.

With the recent happenings of people meddling with this very hot issue, I'd like to comment on His excellency's point of argument, Congressman Manny Pacquiao. As mentioned in his own article by Desperate Houseboy,

You have proven yourself in the field of boxing. You have been a great Filipino of, I would say, all time. No other Pinoy in this field made a name like you did. I agree, that your recent debate with another congressman made a stir to make this hot issue even hotter, but, I think this is not your forte. Quoting the verses in the Bible and interpreting its meaning literally is dangerous though.

To his excellency,

I idolize you with how you fought and won victoriously challenges in your life. I admire your dedication to the church, to your family and to your country. No one will be able to surpass what you have done for this nation, not even the wisest of all the lawmakers, however, this current situation is not your field. Law-making debates are for people to convince the otherside whichever is going to be good for the general public not just for a few. You have the right and capability to have as many children as you want because you can. But what about those people who merely know the implications and long term effects, not just personally but to the community for having a huge family with uneducated members? Come to think of it, be in there shoes.

I hope the Congress and it's legislators will make the right decisions for the country.

And I stand being pro on this Bill.

Til Next Time,

Diosa
